David Howard Bryant

David Howard Bryant, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in Monroe, NC. He was born October 1, 1936, in Charleston WV, a son of the late Joseph Stevens and Nellie Irene Huffman Bryant. On May 14, 1959, he married Geraldine Marie Knicely who preceded him in death on May 3, 2010. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Judson; one brother, Sherman Bryant and one sister, Helen Huffman. Surviving are five sons, Roy Joseph Bryant of SC, Mitchell Eugene, Robert and Scottie Bryant all of NC and Donald Gene Bryant of Buckhannon; three daughters, Helen Whitcomb and Janet McLean both of Buckhannon and Donna Haile of SC; several grandchildren and two brothers, Edgar Bryant of French Creek, WV and Marion Bryant of Harrison County, WV. Mr. Bryant was a Finisher at Corhart Refractories in Buckhannon and attended Nay Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Monday, July 24, 2023, from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
