Ernest Samuel “Sammy” Weaver III

Ernest Samuel “Sammy” Weaver III, age 53, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at his home. He was born September 12, 1971, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Ernest Samuel Weaver Jr. and Patricia Ann Blitz Hall. On March 20, 2007, he married Jamie Leigh Chidester who survives. Sammy is also survived by brother, Chad Christian Casto and wife Brittany of Buckhannon; four children, Samantha Dawn Weaver of Buckhannon, Stephanie Kay Weaver of Romney, WV, Ernest Samuel “Bud” Weaver IV and Joshua Allen White both of Keyser, WV; six grandchildren, Delilah Grace, Payton Olivia, Michael Wayne Jr. and Kaysen Joseph Burnside all of Buckhannon, Naomi Louise and Nathaniel Lee Pettinelli both of Lugoff, SC; one brother, Ronald Winneberger of Buckhannon; four sisters, Melissa “Missy” Winneberger Barnett and husband Teddy of Buckhannon, Lisa Bradshaw of Huntington, Brook Bullock of Villa Rica, GA and Jamie Frederick and husband  Scott of Buckhannon; nieces and nephews, Richard and Trevor Winneberger, James Perednas, Sonja and Tiffany Bowen all of Buckhannon, Jonathan Weaver, Cody and Breanna Bullock all of Villa Rica, S.J. Workman of Walkersville, WV, Shawn and Marissa Workman both of Buckhannon and Amberlyn Bradshaw of Columbia, SC and step-mother, Barbara Weaver of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhiannon Elizabeth Weaver; one brother, Robert Winneberger and two nephews, Nathaniel Winneberger and Dylan Michael Hundley. Sammy loved painting cars. He lived his life in the fast lane, living it wild and free. Friends will be received Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In honoring Sammy’s wishes he will be cremated after the viewing. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
